Fiesta - Front

Fiesta Basketweave Illusion was turned from a single piece of Hard Maple, it measures approximately 13" diameter x 2" tall. The design is colored with Faber-Castell Pitt Artist inks and finish/sealed with clear spray acrylic.
I like the depth effect cause by the light colored rings. My initial thought was they were distracting but I looked closer. Nicely done David!

Thank you, Russ! The "light" rings are just uncolored maple turned down to the bottom depth of the beads. I had intended to pierce the open space with an intricate design - but realized too late that the front and the back rings did not line up well enough to make the cut-out design as planned - so, after much deliberation, I decided to go with "Plan B".....
