RELIC

Hello everyone this pieces is made from Maple first turned hollow on the lathe, it finished at 7" x 7". Then the pattern was hand drawn and hand carved. Some pyrography was added for shading then alcohol inks were added for coloring, the final finish is satin lacquer.

Thank you so much Scott, I do all of this carving work with knives and gouges, but when using a power tool I use a Dremel with a flex shaft to remove only the large bits the rest is hand carved.
