Quartersawn Ziricote Tower Box

Alright, I am done turning the round bottom boxes for awhile! Time for a change, this box goes back to my popular "cooling tower" style, this time turned from a beautiful piece of quartersawn Ziricote (Cordia dodecandra) This wood has a "picture jasper" or "landscape" effect on the grain and this piece is no exception, the end grain on this box is stunning! The wood does have a lot of pores though! Features include an undercut domed lid, chamfered edges, and curved sides. Turned, hollowed, and finished with gloss lacquer, than buffed with carnauba wax. Size is 2" tall x 1 7/8" diameter.
