I'm sure someone will be very happy to get that as their gift. I never heard of Charapilla wood. I tried to find some information on line and didn't find very much. Nice looking wood.

What I found on the internet was Cumaru and Tonka, a Brazilian (and other South American countries) rainforest tree. The wood is extremely hard, requires sharp tools and polishes and cuts to a very smooth surface. The grain is very straight and the wood polishes and finishes to a high gloss. Thanks for your comments. BTW, Ed, I was pleased to hear that your gallery returned. I would have been upset, too! Here's to new additions to the galleries.
