Crescent ball

12" average diameter sphere made of 7 twisted crescent shaped pieces cut from sycamore bowls, shaped, part coloured and intertwined.
All 7 crescent pieces are glued to 2 other pieces to ensure finished ball is robust. I used thick superglue at contact points, but it was not thick enough not to drip - I spent a long time removing glue drips from surfaces. A gel glue would probably have been better
 
Outstanding deconstruct/ reconstruct piece Robin! I love how the nicely chosen coloring accentuates the twist! I love it!
