Windage

“Windage” completed this weekend. 14” Cherry, Paduk and resin. The cherry platter was rough turned off-center on the outside, then shaped with a scroll saw. The Paduk darts were also cut on a scroll saw. Resin poured and set, then turned to completion on the lathe. I’m pretty pleased with the results of this design concept, though too little of a resin pour made me sacrifice some form curvature. The rim is 1/8” thick for about 3 inches in until the center bowl begins, and it does flex a bit.
