White Limba, hammered

White Limba, hammered

This is 9" diameter, and 1 3/4" tall, finished with walnut oil. The interior bowl is scorched with subtle tool marks. The rim is hammered with an air hammer.
Molly, I love this piece. What kind of bit did you use in your airhammer?

what are you using for a finish? it all works so well together.

Thanks guys. I'm not sure what the name of the bit is, but it has about a 1/8" tip. The bit is about a 1/2" diameter that tapers down to a point. Make sense? e, the finish is walnut oil. I use it prior to hammering to lubricate and moisten the fibers to avoid tearing them, and then use it again at the end for the final finish.
