All Cracked Up
Cherry hollow form with ornamental cherry opening and copper inserts, 5” wide by 5 3/4” tall. The pyrography appearance was done with a dental drill. The copper inserts are punch outs. Satin lacquer finish.
I really like that! I’m just starting to do hollow forms, was this one twice turned since you added the top piece?

David it was once turned. About 75% of my hollow forms are once turned.

Russ Look at all the practice I just had with the dental drill.

Love the cracked effect, William ... on the fence about the collar, though. Did you fill or color the grooves or is that just burn marks from the bit? Looks very uniform in black color.
