Liming Wax

Liming Wax

7" x 1 1/2" red oak once turned. It had some staining issues so I figured it's time to practice. First was black dye, then a coat of shellac, then white liming wax, then 2 coats of tung oil to seal it.
tung oil penetrated after wax and shellac? Surprised me. Good job.
After the wax dried I wiped the excess wax off with the dilimone (spelling?) orange thinner until all that remained was what was in the pores of the oak. Then sanded with 400 before applying the tung oil.
