Wont Hold Soup

When I started turning this, ants started flying out of the blank. I took it off the lathe, sprayed a can of bug killer on it and put it aside a few years ago. Another piece of wood I wasn’t sure was worthwhile to try and finish. It got to the turn it or burn it phase, considering that I haven’t seen any ants I gave it a go.
This is cherry burl and has plenty of ant holes along with natural voids. The bottom had a big enough void that I wasn’t sure there was enough wood for a base, so I used a turquoise, key filings, and epoxy to fill it. It is about 9” x 5” and finished with Danish oil.
Thanks for all the nice comments! It didn't seem all that sketchy doing the turning but the finish sanding made me nervous. Buffing it gave me sweaty palms, I had to stop and regroup more than once.
