Brazilian Blackheart is a very difficult wood to season properly. I've had several examples of it, and they all had issues with cracking. Some so bad, they were total losses! Very hard to take, because this wood is very expensive! Other successful attempts, such as this one have epoxy repairs. Using epoxy mixed with Pau Santo sanding dust works well and is almost invisible. Extremely heavy and dense. Finished on 2/6/24, and sold for $295 on 2/18/24. Sanded to 1500gt, Danish oil natural, Beall 3-step buffed. Takes a beautiful finished surface. A rare treasure if successfully completed!
