4 1/2 high by 3 wide at the widest point. Finished with friction polish over shellac. Friction fit lid with a nice pop sound. Not sure if I'll do any more with it.
My phone and my DSL camera can't pick up the colors.
As a critique, having a rim and lid bigger than the base gives it a very heavy look. In my experience that pop is only good for turners. Customers get a confused look on their faces when they can't lift the lid with one hand. Learned that 30 years ago when I would show the person how to remove the lid and they would say they were afraid to break it.

Looks like the lid is cross grain (faceplate orientation). If so, seasonal or location changes in humidity are likely to make the lid warp a bit and become difficult to take off/put on. Particularly with it being a snug fit in its current environment.
It's just a practice piece for me. No real use for it. Will probably sit on the shelf with all my other stuff till I give it away or destroy it. If the cover warps I can re-turn it or make another. The apple will probably move also as it's not really dry.
Thanks for the info though. I will keep an eye on it for a while.
