Beads of Courage Cupcake Box

Beads of Courage Cupcake with Cherry on Top! This piece is made with various woods: Catalpa (base), Mahogany (lid/cake section), Sugar Pine (icing), Hard Maple & Walnut (cherry and stem). I used traditional hand gouges to carve the fluting on the base section and used a rotary carver for the frosting. The lid is a loose friction fit - hopefully there will be minimal wood movement. I used acrylic artist paints for the various colors and finished off with multiple coats of a clear acrylic spray sealer. The overall dimensions are approximately 11" tall x 5" wide.
That's FANTASTIC! What a wonderful idea and a great container for some child. Thank you for making it and thank you for showing us.
