Funny how many segmented techniques boil down to Malcolm Tibbetts! He is a prolific sharer of segmented ideas for sure. Nicely executed piece Jerry!!
 
Nicely done. Could you describe how you did this or point me to a technique? I am intrigued!
 
Never mind. I think I have figured it out.
Well, I can tell you that looking at the original Beaver bowl online a couple of years ago, I thought about how to make the slants. Initially I was using a bandsaw but the pieces were too rough coming out of the saw and I abandoned that idea. I'm curious to see how you think this should be done because obviously you got to the answer much quicker than I did. I will share that I used a planer offset with the thickness of the small in this case maple pieces.
