Bradford Pear turned into a bag of sand form. I really enjoy these curves and form, as it's essentially an extended and exaggerated calabash with an outflowing rim (picture the top half of this removed). I chose a natural edge orientation because it includes a nice color contrast and it adds some more curves to the rim. I textured the exterior and interior with a rotary tool (Dremel). The interior proved very challenging, especially on the floor. My fist was small enough to fit into the hollow, so I did have some access. Barely! 7.5"h x 7.5"d.
