Honeycomb Bowl

Honeycomb Bowl

The bowl is 11.75" tall and 7" wide. Made from walnut, canarywood, bloodwood and maple. Total of 1692 segments, 72 segments per row.
I’m a big fan of contrast Bryan. As wood ages, it will darken from the freshly tooled pop. The Bloodwood is already kind of peek-a-boo here; it’s the best it will ever be. Canarywood and Walnut will blend closer together as well. i usually surround Bloodwood with say a maple; this will always showcase the red, even as it fades. In a nutshell, keep in mind what your pattern/ woods will look like in 10 years during design!! Perhaps this darker blend is what you were after…my two cents is often worth a fraction of that amount, lol!! Nicely done segmented piece….I would lose the foot too (you got four cents, haha!!).
