Calliope: Blue

Maple vase. 7" tall. One of a series I am making from this same tree. It was a Bark Burl on a downed Sugar Maple. Only a narrow band of usable wood available around a large rotten void in the tree. Even that usable wood had a lot of cracks and staining.
Tom showed this on Tuesday night at the club meeting. It is more beautiful in person!
