maple with leather inlay

This is a maple hollow form with a tooled leather inlay.new direction I'm trying. ten in diameter lacquer finish
very nice, new direction I'm trying where did you come up with leather as a inlay???

The carving was inspired by a rotation at the AZ Desert Roundup with Tony Cortese. Tony specializes in these types of carvings in the wood.I'm not that good with the wood carving and didn't want to absolutely copy his work but still acheive the beauty of the carved art. Wood and Leather are both earthy to me and make a natural match....Rick
