Green once turned Hackberry. Stabilized with epoxy on radial cracks. Retained a bit of bark inclusion.
Sanded to 320 grit, finished with Danish oil blend and then buffed with the Beall buffing system and carnauba.
9" x 2 1/2" with 1/8th" wall.
This is a salvaged blank from a recently fallen hackberry. It is a crotch piece so there is some beautiful grain. The blank was only prepped three weeks ago (cut round and anchorsealed) but its been over 100° most of June and July so it began to split. I stabilized the blank with some epoxy and decided to once turn it and let it warp.
