2067 Birdseye Maple.

This is an experimental shape that I did to see how well it presents. It's a variation on another shape that has been done frequently. (such as the 1947 marblewood) I like it, but there are problems maintaining a crisp separation of intersecting planes on the interior. This one is 2" high, and it would be better to have a taller bowl to make this shape work better.

Not a big fan of this design. I think your right it needs more volume or height with this design to look more in proportion to me. I‘d call it stubby. I think the straight lip is visually overtaking the curve under neath on the out side. But could be just the angle of the shot. By as usual , impeccable turning and crisp lines. I would love to see this same design in a 4 inch high bowl.
