Illusion of Beadwork

I've noticed your work for awhile now and it is very nice. However, people would like to know some details like the size, finish, etc. and any other pertinate details. Thanks

Thanks, and of course some details: just a bit under 12 inches turned and shaped with the circular grooves cut with a home fashioned tool; off the lathe to mark the circle for grooves with a template I created; back on to mark each center to edge line. Off the lathe to cut or burn the center to edge grooves, on the lathe for final shaping, sanding and then cut-off. At this point it's ready for color to be applied. Clean thoroughly, lacquer thinner is a good choice. For the color, I use india ink and apply two coats minimum to each square letting dry thoroughly between applications. (best done while watching TV). Once completely dry, I can't stress that enough, completely dry, finish. This one has 4 coats of poly/tongue oil "wipe-off" applied letting dry 24 hours between each coat. I prefer this finish to some of the acrylics I have been using but it takes a long time to complete.
