Maui Curly Koa Urn

I had to add a poho patch to this one. Held in place by 4 pewa. 20 in tall. Brass threaded inserts. Finished with Danish oil and laquer.
Now that is really some creative patchwork. Another beautiful piece Emiliano!
I wish I could say it was my idea! Poho patches are an ancient Hawaiian technique. A lot of the calabashes in the museums have several of those. I always say that it was easier to fix a broken bowl than to make a new one with stone adzes. Thank you Brian!
