NE Maple

NE Maple approx 10x6" Turned and finished very green. Featuring the stub of a rotted branch. I could have used a more perfect log, but why?
Bowls from Perfect logs with their perfected symmetry have their place,

the bowls from asymmetrical logs properly presented are a marvel.

Very green is the way to keep the color. A week here and the gorgeous sapwood you have would be greyish.

well done

Keeping those doodads on is really impressive and definitely makes this piece extra special. Well done.

@hockenbery Especially with this type of piece, which has no purpose other than looking nice, and maybe holding fruit or flowers, for a picture anyway. And the very green wood is so fun to work with!
