I really like the effect you achieve with the blue stain gives the appearance of shallow to deep blue ocean water.
 
@Tim Tucker Thanks! The dye doesn't penetrate very deep at all. But on another piece, I turned the lathe on before it had dried, and it bled through on the end grain, leaving little dots on the outside of the bowl.

It's hard not to get some dye on the rim, but shaving just a little off with a gouge after dying cleans it up nicely.
