Black Locust Salad Bowl

Black Locust Salad Bowl

Turned to 1/8" thin. I wanted to go thinner, but it warped a little during turning and I didn't want to risk it. 10" x 4.5"

Question for you, Nicholas ..... not related to your work. How did you include those extra photos in the Comments section? Do you have to link to a social media post (which I don't do)? I've asked this before and never really got an answer. Thanks.

@Tom Gall It took me a while to figure out how to do it. The forums limit how many photos you can post and I've always wanted to post more. I happen to have my own website, so I put the photos on my website and then link to them with the image button in the comment box. You don't need to use social media like facebook, but you do have to get your images on the web somehow. If you are uncomfortable with the likes of Facebook, I would suggest a photo sharing site like Flickr.com. It's free, you can upload a fair amount of photos, of course you'll have to share at least your name, address, and contact info with them to open an account. Once your image is on the web, if you open it up in your browser and copy the url address from the top of the screen, you can paste it into the link. I hope that helps.

@Nicholas Licata
Thank you so much. "...you do have to get your images on the web somehow".
That explains a lot. I sometimes post on another forum so I'll try that in the future. I find it strange that the process is so much different than posting a single photo on this forum. Thanks again.

@Leo Van Der Loo The leaves were circular not toothed and my elm wood has a pink or cream undertone. This has a greenish undertone and very little sapwood. You could be right, but I rough turned it two years ago and wrote locust on it. ???
