I thought some of you might like this group shot of the family of thermed vases I've turned recently. These vases range in height from 6 to 12 inches. Therming is a technique that allows a turner to create multiple turned spindles on a lathe simultaneously. A rotary drum suspends each spindle on its own centerline separated from the principal centerline of the lathe. Finish on all of these is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system. If you take a look at the first comment you can see an image of the intermediate sized thermed vases mounted on a therming rig.
