Piggy bank

Piggy bank

This bank was made about 17 years ago when my grandson was a baby, he just graduated from high school. The bank is made of buckthorn that was cut from Como park in St. Paul MN in a futile attempt to get rid of it. The deep void on the pigs right side is filled with a walnut patch. The top of the pigs back has the coin slot and the head unscrews to remove the treasure.
Passes the test of time with nary a scratch! A testament to the maker and the owner!! Nice post!
