Beads Reclaimed

These ‘Beads of Courage’ Jars were made from reclaimed cabinet boards (shown in the foreground). The Beads of Courage Program for woodturners generates pieces of art that become sacred vessels for children with serious medical conditions to contain the many beads they will receive during their treatment. The beads give the children hope and pride in their accomplishments throughout their lengthy treatments. What better way to assist them in reclaiming their lives than to construct jars from reclaimed wood as a treasured place to store their beads. Wood is maple, oak and pine. Finish is wiping poly.
