Flowering Poplar Vase

Flowering Poplar Vase

Turned from Poplar stump, approximately 16” in diameter and 11” tall, turned then major power carving and sanding to accentuate natural floral features
Beautiful piece Cory! I never knew Poplar could have so much character. Your turning, shaping and sanding really created a unique piece.

from@brian horais. Thanks Brian for Kind comments. Poplar is an under appreciated species. The greenish brown heartwood contrasting with the light tan sapwood can be very striking.
