"Of Mice and Men"

Sugar maple burl turned and carved e leg NE bowl measuring 18" W x 11" H. After turning the outside shape and beginning to hollow something hit my foot. I thought it was a piece of bark but it turned out to be a mouse. After stopping the lathe I discovered seven mice inside the burl who had made the burl their home. They were evicted and relocated.
