Segmented NE legged vessel

Turned and carved 3 leg segmented vessel with split-toes and a natural edge. Sycamore, zebra wood, ebony and big leaf maple burl. The NE is walnut bark and was "borrowed" from another vessel turned in the same profile then removed for this piece. The segmented rim was carved to accept the bark rim. *" W x 14" H

That’s an interesting technique Chris! The transition is outstanding and seamless. Being a segmenter, the overall look is unique, different and I am trying to wrap my head around it! That is not a bad thing, perhaps stunning is a better word!

Chris, this just grabs your eyeballs & says "look @ me", however the inclusion of the natural edge lifts it to a Masterclass piece, tip of the hat sir

Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment. I'll try to find where I can post an in-process picture of taking the bark from another and putting it on this piece. Probably in "Tips and Tricks" would be the best place?
