"A Rosewood Burl By any Other Name"

Honduras rosewood burl turned and heavily carved measuring 26" W x 18" H x 13" D. One small bowl was cored from this piece. The piece is suspended by three steel pins anchored in a basalt plinth. The inside required a massive amount of sanding and was finished with high gloss lacquer and is highly polished. The natural exterior was pressure washed, sand blasted and finished with flat lacquer to add contrast against the high gloss interior.
