13"x4.5" Maple, turned and embellished as a group of 3 sections 12"x3" mounted on a plywood face plate. Each section was rotated and embellished until all 3 sections were completed. In this piece cut the sections into angled slices and then reattached the slices in aslight twisted manor. Finished with black lacquer and mounted on a wood base painted white.

This is a fascinating piece Eldon. I really like how you are exploring 'non-round' creations using a lathe. It reminds me some of the work done by Art Liestman. You should investigate therming as another approach to create unique shapes on the lathe. Google Art Liestman and you can explore this in depth.
