Twisted Cherry Peppermill

This 10 inch tall peppermill was turned from a single piece of cherry. A 3-point off-axis turning method was used to generate the graceful 120 degree twist. The internal mechanism maintains the clean outer lines. What better shape to be twisted than a peppermill!

Bill, I partially turn the inside first so the separating tenon between the top and bottom is done then I pin the top and bottom together and turn the outside twist. Then I go back and finish the inside surfaces. If you go to my website, www.horais.com, I have a tutorial file on the 'Links' page that explains the process. Enjoy! Brian
