Northeast Lighthouse

Came upon a not so nice piece of Kingwood and after a year of sitting and looking at it I decided it would make a nice Lighthouse. The overall height is 14" x 3" diameter. The lighthouse is functional with an LED operational light that shines into a Swarovski Crystal for a nice effect especially at night. The base is a Buckeye Burl end cutoff with implanted effects of artificial moss and Lichens. Lacquer finish. Was a "fun" project that I needed in something different to create. Always good to get away with the mind and try different techiques.
I live in Maine, so I like Light Houses, and this one is a beauty. The buckeye burl is a lovely rendition of a rocky shore line, and the house itself is superb. It's wonderful to see you let your imagination wander to our lovely coast and replicate something so beautiful. Congratulations!
