Coral bowl

7" bowl from spalted maple. Highly textured using my dremel with lots of depth not visible in the photo, colors are thinned down oil paints applied in washes to give a soft coral look to the piece. Feels great in your hands, and has a rounded bottom to add some interactivity. A continuaton of a theme I begun for Louisville a few months back. Inner finish is Deft and buffed out to contrast with the outer texture. Comments always welcome

I really like your combination of textures and colors. I've been working a little bit with acrylic paint washes and am finding it an exciting medium.
