Maraschino Steps

Rocky Mountain Juniper, i love the color reminds me of chocolate covered cherries. hints the name. roughed out last year and soaked in pentacryl . a year later and no cracks and dry. These steps are selling really good for me so i thought id finish a few . here's one of two.
i forgot to measure before sending it to the gallery.
but its roughly 7" x 5.5"
Beautiful piece and your comment about chocolate covered cherries make me hungry for chocolate and none to be found in the pantry. :D

I'm not familiar with Rocky Mountain Juniper. Does it need to be stabilized?

ha ha that's a bummer .gonna have to run to the store for some cherries . :)
it doesn't need to be stabilized but it's very temperamental . i do rough turn them and give a bath with pentacryl witch helps a lot
i often get cracks witch works good for me cause i use inlay but this one i got lucky and didn't want to add cracks for inlay .
i love it i may try to repeat with same results
