Wanted to make something different so ended up making this segmented "sculpture". This consists of 3 sets of segmented rings each consisting of 2 rings of 12 segment rings. To add to the interest these rings are made using a wide selection of different woods, hence all the colours. The largest rings are approx 4" dia, the next layer up they are about 3" dia and the top ones approx 2" dia. The stack is held together by balls each being approx 1" dia, these balls are made from oak & mahogany. I've used small lengths of cocktail sticks as sort of dowels to hold everything together.
