"What Goes Around, Comes Around"

This piece was for a chapter contest, all participants were given a block of Cherry measuring 6" x 6" x 3". after slicing my piece into 4 sections and reassembling, it measured 18" wide x 11" tall x .4" deep. I then treated the cherry with a water and lye solution for a deeper richer color. I then masked off the individual sections and airbrushed transparent paints on each section. It's finished with a satin lacquer. This contest encouraged all club members to participate and to experiment with trying different ideas.
