Malila

From the native American Miwok language meaning- Fast salmon swimming up a rippling stream. Destined for SOFA Chicago (if it survives the shipping!!!)
Richard - Very nice flow. I like the motion and quality of your piercings. Can I ask the type of wood and the coloring used?

Thanks

Wonderful piece Richard. Amazing how you could get the depiction of rippling water and swimming fish through piercing. Curious how an across the pond resident knows Native American language.

Your work keeps getting better!

Wow I wasn't expecting that!!! Thanks so much Kurt its an honour to be picked!

Thanks everyone for commenting Tom its made from Maple and the finish is spray paint, it is the only thing I have found that gives the really flat finish I want with this kind of piece.

Hal You are right I am not a fluent Miwok speaker! However I do love finding out the stories and creation myths of other cultures they provide great inspiration for making pieces as the language used is always so poetic!
