Very nice. Can you share how you did your carvings? I have struggled with the change in grain direction and when using a carving gouge, ir runs with the grain. When using a high speed rotary tool, I get wood fuzz near the edges. What was your method?

Tom - i used a proxon power carver with medium v gouge - make sure its honed like a razor - i then sanded each groove by hand
