Nuclear Milieu

Bradford pear about 5 X 5 in., pierced, textured by pyrography, and colored. Being a geneticist I've wanted to do something like this for a while. Didn't like the color combinations - this is the forth iteration.
Critiques are requested.
Hal - I must admit it took me a few minutes... I am not in your field. I immediately saw the double helix, however identifying the chromosomes from the camera angles took me a few...

I am just a "typical broken X Chromosome" - ie, "guy".

Great shape and as a thought I wonder how this would have worked in a light wood just a thought well done .
