Walnut Set

These are beautifully done. I love the set.
How did you keep the sapwood so light?

Thank you very much. To keep the sapwood light, I turned all of the bowls to completion, allowed them to dry, and then sanded them. This way, the tannin buildup from drying and the marks from my hands from turning are sanded off once dry. The walnut oil finish is also relatively light in color.

That's quite a bevy of bowls. It's exceptional that you could keep the sapwood so light.
