Retinal Ganglion Cell Vessel I

I can easily say I've never seen a retinal ganglion cell much less a turned one, but this piece is a real work of art. I assume you are a physician (neurologist?), and if your as good at that as your are an artist, send me your card.

Just love these 2 pieces Peter, your creativity & making skill is extremely high indeed, I keep looking at both of them.

Thank you very much, for your kind words about my work. I am a Prof. Of Neurology at the medical school of Brown University, and my research is focused on discovering better treatments for Alzheimer's disease. When not focused on work, I love to turn wood and create with my hands. Unfortunately, my teacher - a fantastic turner from Columbia, CT, Ken Dubay - passed away 2 years ago, and I am working on my own. So, it is good to hear that I should keep forging ahead on this path! Thanks again.
