Thanks Gary, I had some help. I saw a piece that David DeCristoforo had done and fell in love with it. I sent him a note and he was kind enough to give me some advice on how to do it.
 
A really beautiful piece. I love the look of cherry and your red dye really brings out all that beautiful figure.
