Demo Prep...

This is just one of a couple of boxes made the last couple of days in preparation for a lidded box demo at Central Virginia Woodturners on Jan. 15th. Black walnut.

Thanks go out to Mike Stafford for the inspiration on this particular form....he has a rosewood box on his site that is similar, but I added a foot/pedestal and some features on the top that were not on his.

I'm liking the absence of a finial on this form, has an elegant but utilitarian look to it! As always - nice work!
