This is my first burl that I've had the pleasure to play with. Interesting story behind this wood. My fiance's grandfather was a woodturner and after he passed away her dad brought his lathe, tools, and wood all the way from Washington state back to Indiana. So it has been sitting in his garage for almost 20 years. He gave it all to me for Christmas and I decided I should do something special with it. Don't know what kind of burl it is, but its pretty. I finished it with danish oil, and I don't have a photography setup yet, but I did my best. Let me know what you think. This is my first post.
Nicely done, Scott. You sure made out like a bandit on the lathe stuff. This has a nice shape and welcome to posting here. Look forward to seeing more. How big is this?
