Waves in Wood

This is a large wall hanging made of Granadillo, Wenge, and Fiddleback Maple. There is a narrow band of Wenge on each side of the Maple. The size is 34" x 2", and the finish is Bush Oil.
Odie, I use a Powermatic 3520 with the bed extension mounted in the low position, allowing me to turn pieces up to 40" in diameter. This piece weighed around 60 pounds when I mounted in on the lathe, and was 36" in diameter in the rough. Have not turned Granadillo before. A beautiful wood.
