Bone made, and forgotten for many years in a box with iron filings (in order to color it)

Yes Odie, I did it. Circa 1993/1996
I then proceeded to make a thimble with any wood that I would meet (easy, I could just do with small pieces harvested during holidays and so)
I have also turned thimbles out bone (this belonging) and horn
The main problem with the wood thimbles is the thickness to carve the dots.
Only the bone ones are realy functional
