Japanese Crabapple Root Bowl

My first root ball bowl, incredible how much you learn doing stuff ilke this!
In response to the request to share what I've learned from this bowl:
1. Sharp tools make a world of difference with swirling grain
2. Relaxing and enjoying the process is more important than the finished product.
3. Watch out for stones!
4. Since this was an offcut of a larger piece I gave away I found beauty in an unexpected place.
I think I sort of came to a pivotal place with this piece. It is the first piece that I feel I did a good job with and am very satisfied with the result. My turnings since then are much more accoomplished.
5. Turning is far more addictive than one can say. I'm here for life.
